Our team are proud to work exclusively for homeowners. This makes us a bit different, smaller construction projects are often seen as undesirable or more trouble than their worth, but we see this as a huge opportunity!
We know this is a huge investment for you, and a stressful undertaking. This is why we have a tailored process that only works for residential projects, build from scratch and focussed on our company purpose: the perfect client experience. Your project is all about you, but here is your chance to meet some of us.
Our Founder
Danny Campbell
Danny is a registered Architect and the Founder of HOKO. His obsession for home renovations and extensions has seen HOKO grow to become the market leader in Scotland. He was awarded The Great British Entrepreneur of the Year Award alongside his role as a judge on the hit BBC TV show; Scotland’s Home Of The Year. He absolutely loves home renovations, working with real people and creative, budget-friendly design solutions. Outside of work Danny has three young sons and enjoys living an active and healthy lifestyle.
During his education, Danny Campbell realised that traditional architecture was failing many homeowners. With limited options for homeowner-focussed architectural services, and inconsistent delivery and results he knew that the status quo had to change. He started HOKO with one goal – to shake up architecture by doing things differently! We’re all about breaking the rules and taking on new challenges. Our experienced team strive for consistency in every project and believes that homeowners should be able to enjoy their own unique design vision without the uncertainty and stress of a traditional home improvement project.
One of our core beliefs is that every client should have the opportunity to fully understand the costs of their project before committing. That’s why we offer a unique service which tells you what your design will look like and how much it’ll cost, for the smallest investment possible and no obligation to proceed after

Part II Architectural Assistant
Connor
Hi, I’m Connor. I initially joined HOKO as an Architectural Technologist after completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Dundee. Having recently graduated with my master’s in architecture, I have rejoined the team as a Part II Architectural Assistant.
As a Part II Architectural Assistant at HOKO, my role focuses on developing projects throughout the early design stages. I work closely with our architects and technical team to bridge the gap between conceptual and technical design, ensuring that projects achieve both their aesthetic and functional goals. This area of architectural design is particularly exciting to me as I enjoy the challenge of blending efficiency with impactful contemporary architecture.
Outside of office hours I spend my free time playing rugby and attempting to play golf. I mostly enjoy searching for my lost balls and perfecting my swing—though “perfect” might be a bit of a stretch.

Architectural Technologist
Graham
Hi I’m Graham, I’m based in the main office in Glasgow. I started working for HOKO in April 2021 & I am one of the Architectural Technologists.
I appreciate most styles of architecture and love traveling, seeing how different cultures and climates have shaped local styles.
I have a HND in Architectural Technology and the built Environment and went on to get my BSc in Architectural Studies at Strathclyde University.
I have worked in the construction industry since 2010 in a variety of different roles from Cladding manufacturers to Structural engineers. I worked for a couple of years in the south of England on large scale luxury housing projects & end of life care homes specialising in dementia care.
My favourite project at HOKO so far has been an extension incorporating structural glass as this is a construction material that I have never worked with before. It was interesting learning the limits of the materials & the relevant details needed to make it a successful design.
