Danny
Founder and Architect
I live and breathe HOKO, and our mission is to create the perfect experience for extending or altering your home. The pain points for our clients primarily stem from the variety of moving parts and a bit of industry stigma against small projects. The best thing about my job is the constant adapting to problems, building innovation to make the whole journey smoother and of course all the lovely people we get to share the home transformation journey with!
Anya
Operations Director
Hi, I’m Anya.
After studying at the University of Glasgow, I joined HOKO Design with the ambition of helping HOKO become the household name in residential Architecture.
As Operations Director, I am passionate about women in leadership and am therefore proudly an active ambassador of Women’s Enterprise Scotland.
Outside of work, you will often find me playing tennis or dancing!
Simon

Hi, I’m Simon, an Architectural Technician with over 15 years’ experience. Starting out for a commercial Architectural practice working on retail and hospitality, I joined HOKO in 2019 as it’s first employee to pursue his interest in residential architecture. Using his experience and enthusiasm, I lead projects through from initial concept to reality, whilst also helping HOKO become a modern forward-thinking practice through the use of technology.

Julie
Project Architect
Hi, I’m Julie. After working as an Architect in Scotland for 6 years on various project types, primarily in the residential and retail sectors, in 2018 I relocated to Qatar in the Middle East. Here I had the unique opportunity to work on globally renowned projects, including two international football stadiums, in preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2022. During my time living abroad I travelled throughout Asia and Africa, experiencing new places, cultures, and design. Alongside my love for travel, I have a passion for health and fitness, and am a keen sports enthusiast. Returning home to Scotland, I am excited to embark on my journey with HOKO and embrace my love of domestic architecture, working with homeowners!

Graham
Architectural Technologist
Hi I’m Graham, I’m based in the main office in Glasgow. I started working for HOKO in April 2021 & I am one of the Architectural Technologists. I appreciate most styles of architecture & love traveling, seeing how different cultures & climates have shaped local styles. I have a HND in Architectural Technology & the built Environment & went on to get my BSc in Architectural Studies at Strathclyde University. I have worked in the construction industry since 2010 in a variety of different roles from Cladding manufacturers to Structural engineers. I worked for a couple of years in the south of England on large scale luxury housing projects & end of life care homes specialising in dementia care. My favourite project at HOKO so far has been an extension incorporating structural glass as this is a construction material that I have never worked with before. It was interesting learning the limits of the materials & the relevant details needed to make it a successful design.
