Modern extension to a retired couple’s home in Glasgow.
Situation:
A retired couple sought to enhance their home to better accommodate family gatherings and visits. The objective was to create a more functional and inviting space that could comfortably host everyone. The focus was on integrating a single-storey extension to modernise their home and foster unity among family members during gatherings.
Action:
To address the clients’ requirements, our team conceptualised an open-plan layout that seamlessly integrated the kitchen, dining, and lounge areas. The single-storey extension was designed to enhance functionality while creating a sense of spaciousness and unity. Timber cladding was selected to modernise the exterior of the extension, adding warmth and visual interest to the home’s façade. Full-height glazing was incorporated to allow abundant natural light to flood the interior, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere.
